Getting Your Book from the Public Library

Whenever possible, there will be copies of summer reading options available on the main floor of the Uxbridge Free Public Library. If yours isn't there when you visit, you can talk to the librarians and staff about placing a hold, meaning that another library in the C/W MARS library network will send a copy of the book to the UFPL so you can pick it up there.

You can also check to see if your book is available at the library or place a hold online.

  • Go to uxbridgelibrary.org.
  • Click the link at the top of the page for Search the Catalog.
  • Search the title of your book.
  • For each result, you can see the call number (where to find it in the library) and whether or not it is available. If 0 copies are available at the UFPL, you can place a hold on it using your library card number.
  • If your search yields no results, you can search all the libraries in the C/W MARS network at once, then place a hold on a copy from another library.

If you have any problems or questions, you can always stop in at the Uxbridge Free Public Library or call them - see their website for contact information. Feel free to email me (Ms. Charpentier - echarpentier@uxbridge.k12.ma.us) with questions as well.
